In Eau Claire, Wisconsin—the Kubb Capital of North America— world champions and rising stars battle for the national title. But as the competition intensifies, real-world struggles off the pitch reveal a story of legacy, rivalry, and the fine line between friendship and ambition.

From 2024 to 2025, filmmakers Steve Dayton and B.J. Hollars followed the journeys of four competitive kubb players and their teams, each vying to become the U.S. National Kubb Champions.  From rising stars to world champions, every player has a story to tell.  Collectively, their stories help to answer the most curious question: how does  “a simple lawn game” become a worldwide phenomenon?
